For DS - The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Walkthrough Part 15 - The Fire Temple and Goodies Along the Way

Okay okay, welcome back and all that jazz. You come back to the forest once you defeat Phantom Ganon and see a fat, wiggling Deku Tree Sprout. Okay ... ?
"I'm so fat I knocked you over! Yaaahhh! NO REGRETS!!"
It tells you about yourself, for some reason. Yeah. It tells you this: "Hi! Did you think you were a Kokiri your whole life? Well I got news for ya! You're not! You're a Hylian! So all your Kokiri friends will stay children forever and you'll be the awkward odd adult one!" Okay, again, maybe not his exact words, but still. As long as ya got the gist of it, you're fine, right?  ... Right.

When he's done telling you your own past, you can go ahead and go back to the Temple of Time. Once you get there, Sheik moves, which allows you to put the Master Sword back into the pedestal and actually go back in time seven years to when you were a kid. She also teaches you the Prelude of Light, which allows you to teleport to the Temple of Time. Suh-weet!
"The song to return you to the Temple of Time... The Prelude of Light..."

Go back in time, and you can do things you forgot/didn't do before, like get the Scarecrow's Song or plant Magic Beans. Once you're done frittering your time away - uh, doing that, you can head to Kakariko Village and to Death Mountain. Something I like to do is plant a Magic Bean next to Dodongo's Cavern, play the Prelude of Light, be an adult, and come back and use this to get the Piece of Heart up there ... well, I did it with a cheat as child Link ... but this should be fun too I guess .... go to Goron City.

It's empty, is all I can say. There's two Gorons, and one (rolling around) is a child. Aw, a cute little Goron! Darunia's cute little son! Aw! Blow him up with your bombs. He'll say that his name is [whatever your name is in the game] then he tells you that a dragon is in Death Mountain and Ganondorf is making it eat everyone! Yay! oops, I mean . . . oh. no.

He opens Darunia's bedroom (your daddy wants privacy! sheesh!), gives you the Fire Tunic, and tells you there's a secret passage somewhere... hmmmm. Actually, you have to go inside Darunia's room and pull back the statue to get to the Fire Temple, but you could have done that as a child. I mean, you couldn't have gone anywhere in that fiery room, but still. I did that, so, ya know, it's possible.

In this room, jump down to the lower area and SERIOUSLY SHEIK???? You are randomly appearing everywhere and scaring me TO DEATH. .... In case I want to return to this fiery pit of death? Oh, okay. I'll play this song now GO AWAY. (She teaches you the Bolero of Fire.)

Okaaaay. Now we can enter the Fire Temple ... at long last ... you need to get to the large Triforce symbol, so play the Bolero of fire and climb the ladder ahead to get to the Fire Temple!

Walk up the steps in here, kill the Keese if you'd like, and head through the door to the left.

In here, Darunia (yes, Darunia) yammers on about a dragon and stuff, then goes through the boss door without a boss key (annoying everyone who's every played this game), leaving you to go along your merry way.

Jump across the platforms to the left, then step on the switch on the corner of the floor. This opens a door; go in and talk to the Goron inside to free him. You'll have to free a lot of these guys, but they all give you pretty useless information, which will also be recorded in this walkthrough. The first one says ...
"In order to get into the room where Darunia went, you have to do something about the pillar stuck in the ceiling."

Grab the small key in the chest in here. You'll have to grab a lot of these guys, but they all open pretty useless doors, which will also be recorded in this walkthrough. Leave and now use your Small key on the locked door to the right.

In this room, get to the left side and climb up the ledge. Enter the door up here and free this Goron. He says...
"A wall that you can destroy with the Goron's 'special crop' will sound different than a regular wall if you hit it with your sword."

Grab the small key and go back to the other room, this time going to the right side, with the bombable wall - bomb it and go through.

Free the Goron, who says...
"There are switches in this temple that you have to cut to activate. But, you can also use the Goron 'special crop' to do the job."

Grab the key and leave. Go across the bridge and enter the locked door.

In here, Hookshot the metal grating and carefully walk to the floor on the right side of the fencing. Kill the Keese and push the block here into the lava below, jump on it ...

and wheeeeeeee! When the lava bursts up, you're pushed through the ceiling!

Enter the door. In here, ignore the Goron and climb up the ledge on your left-hand side. Kill the Torch Slug, and climb up the next ledge to kill the next Torch Slug.

Jump to the switch across the way and push the block to the ground. Jump down and pull it back until it's completely covering the ... face ... on the floor.

Climb on top of the block to reach the high platform and jump down to the middle platform. Throw a bomb over the ledge, which should hit the crystal switch below (it may take a few tries). Hitting the switch makes the flames surrounding the grating on the highest platform go away, so once they're gone, quickly climb up and Hookshot the grating. Climb up and enter the door.

In here, you'll see a bunch of rolling boulders. You can find two Gorons and Small Keys in here, so hug the outer wall as you make your way right ...

and find the Goron, who says ...
"When you are on fire (!!!), you can put it out by swinging your sword, or by rolling forward... Did you know that?"

Grab the key and head out, this time making your way to the opposite side of the room, going right, then right again. (if you went here first, like I did, it's perfectly fine) This Goron says -
Yeah, I know I did the Goron photos in the wrong order, but I'm lazy, so... "In this temple, there are doors that fall  down when you try to open them. When one of these doors starts to fall, move!"

Yes, you guessed it - grab the Small key and follow the outer wall until you rind a locked door. Go through.

Eek! Be careful NOT to fall in here and shoot the eye switch, opening the nearby door  which reveals a chest. Open it for the Dungeon Map.

Exit and enter the locked room, in which you walk across the narrow bridge and jump to the suspended metal grating thing. Oh, yeah, a wall of fire appears and chases you, but don't worry about that. It happens a lot.

Okey-doke, make your way across this thing and avoid the red bubbles. Enter the door at the end.

Now head right and make a u-turn to get to a Goron while jumping from platform to platform, hit the switch, and then grab the Small key and watch him .... float .... in mid-air ....
"If you find a place that you can see on the map, but can't reach, try playing your Ocarina!"
With that in mind, jump across platforms back to one with a crack in it. Blow it up...

then climb down and step on the switch to get to the Goron, who says:

Grab the key and head back out. Climb the metal grating back to the boulder maze. You can grab a Huge Gold Rupee worth 200 Rupees and a Gold Skulltula IF YOU WANT... go to www.zeldadungeon.net to see how, as I am currently dining on a bowl of Spaghetti-os with my laptop charging on the counter, and I feel way too lazy to write more than I need to.
Mmmm, the concept of small noodle circles in tomato sauce is strange and is also very good.
Never mind.
Must. Focus. On. Walkthrough.

ANYWHOOOOOO, (who's eating Spaghetti-os? Not me!!!) make your way back to that weird, chase-y-fire-wall-creepy-Red-Bubble room (with the creepy, chase-y fire wall and also the Red Bubbles) and, since you SHOULD have two Small Keys, start running and get to the ledge with the locked door halfway through. Locked door? Small keys? I think you know what to do!

Go through the hallway.

In this room, (which I hate hate hate hate hate HATE hate HATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) there's some... rather annoying things - you know, like invisible fire wall mazes that you can only see as they burn you along with huge fire spitting pillars and Door Mimics that crush you if you try to open them.
...
So, here's exactly how to get through:

Starting from the door you came through (and yes, I know the picture "reads" upside down) go straight and to the upper right. Then go straight and into the corner of the "L" shape formed by two pillars. Then go straight, to the left, and into another "L" shape. Then go (facing outward from the "L") diagonally up and to the right. Go up and you'll see three pillars in a "Z" shape. Staying on the right of it, go up until you reach a door. (or just stay to the right :)

It has the Compass.
Leave and go to the LEFT of the room now, avoiding the evil spinning fire-spitters (I'm on to ya, you creepy carve-y statues!!!!) and the door (it's fake and will crush you if you try to open it...) and you'll get to a new maze.
Evil fire spinner in the background! Say it as a chant: Evil fire spinner in the background! Evil fire spinner in the background!
Stay on the inside of the maze and avoid the Fire Keese to get to ... dun dun dun! a locked door. Use your small key...
You can't do anything about the trapped Goron, so go to the next room.

Defeat the fire Keese and make your way to the switch and step on it, then go left and blow up the fake door to find a real door! Go through.

Okaaaaaay, this is a Flare Dancer, and I'm tired, so I'm going to go read about Jekyll and Hyde while I leave you hanging about how to defeat this creepy ballerina demon.
Dr. Jekyll just killed himself! It's getting good! - er, see ya soon!
***
That was a weird ending ... Okay so here's how to defeat the flare dancer. the
no, I have not idea why the font is suddenly huge.
So, the flare dancer is pretty easy. There's two in this temple, and they both do the same stuff. : jump out of the fire and spin and shoot fire and stuff. So they are easy.

The font changed again.

it pretty much just spins around very weirdly and tries to knock you over (which doesn't actually take away any health.) Target it while it does this and then when it stops..and Release! And then, oddly enough, this takes away his flames and reduces him to a tiny... black... thing...

Okeeeeeey! While he is a tiny... black... thing... he runs in circles, but if he sees you, he'll run in the opposite direction. Pretty much all you should do is run in the opposite direction (that he's NOT running in) and slash away when you get close. Soon he will... um... jump into the huge pillar of flames and still be alive....

Okay-dokey. Repeat the "hookshot-to-make-him-a-tiny...black...thing-then-hit-with-sword" process until he dies, at which point the flames go out, so climb onto the platform and it "elevators" you up.

Oh yes. THIS room. Well, the one after it - just climb the grating, blow up the fake door, and go through the real door.

Okay. THIS room. Step on the switch and balance on the teeny tiny thin path to get to the chest on the other side open it to find  - dun-dun-duuuuuun!!!! - the Megaton Hammer (which is a mallet thingy).

Yippee! Now jump down and smash the platform thingy (with the Fire Temple symbol) with your newly-found hammer. This reveals a hole; go through (omg go through a hole I would have never thought of that omg omg OMG)

Down here, smash the weird head... thingies out of the way and go though the door (omg go through the door  I would have never thought of that omg omg OMG).

Okay. This room has a strange pillar in the middle of the floor. Kill the annoying Keese, then smash the pillar to turn the whole floor into... a staircase...

Whatever, it's not my place to question Nintendo's sometimes illogical... logic.
Okay.

So! Jump down and use a crate to hold down the switch. Go down the steps and through the door.

Ah, okay, another fire wall maze thing. Just step onto the pillar, smash it, and you'll go back to that room with the boulders and such... Jump up and smash the switch with the Hammer. This will open a door - go through!

Play the Song of Time on the big block to move it aside, smash the switch with your hammer, and speak to the goron - who gives you the last small Key!! Yippee!!! Now go back though the door.

Smash this platform to get you back to the main "Darunia is a cheater with the Boss Key" room. (where you met the boss Key cheater) Um. So, um. Yeah.
Ahem so hi yahaha (Breath of the Wild reference whatever) yeah. Go through the door and smash the weird heads to get through the door. It's locked. Use your last Small key - and put two and two together, man! Locked door! Key!!!! DUH!!!! GEEEEEEEEEZ-UH! no i'm not mad why would I be hee hee hee.

IN HERE kill the Keese and flip over the Torch Slugs with your hammer to leave them defenseless and weak. SO. Go through the door.
In here, go through the door (but annoying and weird Flying Tiles pop up. Also there's a Gold Skulltula you can grab if you want.)

In this room, defeat another Flare Dancer (insert exclamation of disgust, "ugh" or "ick") then snag the Bombs that appear in the chest. Go through the door.

Smash the switch via hammer. Speak to the Goron.
Link: Hey! Where's my Small Key???
Goron: I'll do ya one better! The Boss Key!
Link: Noooooooooo! It's that time already?!?!

Leave. Back in the room with the Boss Door... Grab the Fairy in the nearby jar. Go through the door.

Through the door.......................................

For DS - The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Walkthrough Part 16: Subterranean Lava Dragon Volvagia

Number one, Volvagia is a weird name. Hey Volvagia! Volgy! Ugh. Okay. Here we go. Volvagia is a lava dragon. During battle, you are trapped on a somewhat small platform with lava holes all over. I think you need the Fire Tunic on to avoid taking damage as you walk over the holes, but even if not you should put it on to be on the safe side. Okay. So first of all, the sides of your platform are climbable, so don't worry about falling. And Volvagia's attacks can be a little awkward (and downright ODD) at times, because he/she/it has to kinda fly in a circle around you... unless it goes on your platform. Yeah. Then it can be dangerous. So, Volvagia has three attacks. It will 1. Fly up to the ceiling and knock flaming lava boulders of death down to attack you. They'll land where you were just standing, so avoid the shadows. I find a really easy way to do this is... omg gasp!!!... walk away from them. 2. Try to breathe fire at you. This is super damaging, so be caref

For DS- The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Walkthrough Part 6: Dodongo's Cavern

Now that the path is cleared, walk in. There's a rather... odd looking wall ahead. Blow it up with a bomb flower. Now THERE'S the real Dodongo's Cavern!                What's the first thing you see? Lava? Yep. This place is full of LAVA. (well, we're in a volcano...) Anyway, you should probably equip the Hylian Shield, so you don't burn the weak  wooden one.              You'll see a Beamos, a statue with one eye. You can kill them with a Bomb Flower.       For the next part, go to the left side of the room: either jump to the middle platform and then to the left; or go around on the dry land to find a ladder on the side that leads up. On the left platform, pick up the Bomb Flower and destroy the two explodable walls- one contains a chest with a map, the other, a Business Scrub that sells Deku Shields in case yours gets burned.                 Next, get to the RIGHT side of the room the same way- middle platform then right platform, or ladder.
